Our Final Solution.

Group C voted for the Town Hall Meeting. We were able to invite 2000 people, among them were professionals of education, parents, children from divorced parents, and our guest speaker DR. Phill.  We invited our public throughout Montgomery County Public Schools, and our goal was to pass a good message to parents that are going through this process, thinking about or know someone that is dealing with divorce.

We provided full course dinner at the Marriott Grand Ballroom, and our speaker enjoyed the conversation with the public. Dr. Phill said it was for a good cause, and he might even talk to his produces to create a special edition on his show. It was also broadcasted  by a few local TV stations, and radio stations. The journalist Valerie Strausfrom from The Washington Post also was part of our  event. She was an important piece of the media that helped Group C spread the word, and help families in Montgomery County, Maryland.

Our budget was $500,000.00 and we spent between:
  • $ 210,840.00 on food;
  • $ 50,000 on advertizement;
  • $ 50,000 on gifts and giveaways (T-shirts);
  • $ 10,000 on Dr.Phill's expenses;
  • $ 2,000 on Technology fee;
The total of our expenses were $ 320,094.00 and the rest of the money was used to help children with physiological problems that were not able to pay for such services.

The key is to know how to identify how your child or children are understanding this new situation in their lives. If there is need to ask for professional help, please do so. Children may not know communicate with their parents, and parents sometimes do not recognize the best approach with their children. Therefore, sometimes a professional interaction might be the best choice.
